These unique and desirabe lamps are all hand crafted. Made from laminated Birch wood these products have great innate strength and durability. The designs are hand drawn straight on to the wood, (which is sourced from well managed forests) then gently pierced out with a tiny saw blade. The wood is protected using several coats of a solvent free varnish, giving a lustrous and silky finish to the Birch. Thus the shadows are created. The play of warm functional light is given by the adding of linen and organic silks and standard approved electric lamp fittings.

I make the majority of my lamps in three standard sizes. c30 cm ,c45 cm, and c70 cm. This is purely for ease of classification to my customers, wood storage and cutting. However given that I am the maker, and the designer, if you have any special needs, or blindingly good ideas please contact me I am pretty sure I can accommodate most requirements. At present I am working on a 5.5ft lamp. Bespoke work however does incur extra expenditure.

Although the fittings allow standard light bulbs to be used, none of the inherent warmth of the light is lost by using eco saver bulbs; in fact most of my lamps are sold with ecosaver lamps.
