The best advice I have been given since starting my business is to dream first, and then make it happen. Harvest information, but not to be limited by what others think is possible. To find what I do best and give it my all. Thus I make to the very best of my ability. Firesprite products are designed to last a life time both in durability and in Simple style.

We live on a planet that is abundant with life. It is the most beautiful place imaginable. And yet we push ourselves closer and closer to annihilation.

Therefore taking all my inspiration from natural form and ageless human imagination, I aim to create beautiful but functional objects that have as little environmental impact as possible, and hopefully bring joy to those of us who work so hard we sometimes have little time to breathe or remember how increadibly fortunate we are.

The wood is sourced from well managed and well sustained forests. It is a sustainable resource and in supporting the PEFC and FSC (European and British Forestry Commissions) we ensure that trees are being planted and cared for.

The varnish and glues are solvent free, and for the most part produced in Devon.

The paper too is acid free.

The packing for shipping, where possible is recycled from local shops or nearby galleries.

The boxes for the lamps are made in Devon, also supporting local business.

The linens and silks although not produced in the UK are organic.

The electric components are manufactured in the UK.

Air miles, toxins and pillaging are at a minimum, and I am looking for ways to improve all the time.
